Okanagan Valley Trip: Kelowna to Penticton

Biking trip in Okanagan Valley.

This trip was filmed during a biking trip from Kelowna to Penticton in the Okanagan Valley. My enjoyment of biking in Canada has grown since my last trip. Now I had the opportunity to bike in the beautiful Okanagan Valley. Compared to my previous trip, this one was extremely easy considering the 70 km that were downhills. In this sense, I had nothing to worry about but enjoy the Kettle Valley Trail (KVR), sightings of wild animals, and the fantastic views of Okanagan Lake.

I hope you can enjoy this video!

About This Trip

Being in academia has its perks. This time I decided to take a biking trip after the successful Western Canada Math Biology Spring Workshop 2022 at the University of British Columbia Kelowna Campus. Unfortunately, I didn’t use my bike this time, and it probably was for the best because I would feel all the first 40 km of bumpy road and blast the last 30 km down hills, which would have been dangerous. For this trip, I had no option but to rent a little comfy cruiser bike as a part of a package tour. It helped to have some springs in the seat at the end of the day, and the bicycle naturally slowed me down, and I could enjoy biking as a tourist.
